Your web site or application design plays a key role in how effectively you are communicating information to your users.

By adhering to our design process, we ensure the look and feel of your web site or application aides your users in -- not impedes them from -- accomplishing their online goals easily and intuitively.

Our design approach incorporates user-centered design "best practices" derived from the Research-Based Web Design & Usability Guidelines. Once we've designed your web pages or application, we then conduct usability testing on the design prototypes to ensure we have met your users' needs.

Now that we know who your users are and have structured information we've gathered about their needs, we can design your web site or application, with this intimate knowledge in mind.

Our design process consists of two elements: prototyping and usability testing on prototypes.

  1. Prototyping - We use this process of developing experimental on-screen designs of your web site or application to confirm that flow, navigation and content placement meets your users' needs. We base these prototypes on the wireframes we created in the previous information architecture stage of our user-centered methodology.
  2. Usability testing on prototypes - We conduct user testing on audience members by asking them to perform tasks using prototypes.

Design is the fourth stage of our TerpSys User-Centered Design Methodology. By employing this methodology, we produce visually appealing and inspiring web sites and applications that enable users to achieve their specific goals with ease, efficiency and satisfaction.
