TerpSys recognized by Washington Business Journal as one of 50 "Top Corporate Philanthropists"

(Bethesda, Maryland) - TerpSys was recognized by Washington Business Journal as one of 50 "Top Corporate Philanthropists" at the 9th Annual Greater Washington Philanthropy Summit.

"Community Service is our passion and this recognition highlights the commitment of our staff to our many charitable initiatives," said Ed Woods, President and CEO. "Community Service is an area that we do not need to prod our employees to get involved with; our employees respond selflessly and with unbelievable generosity."

TerpSys has a "three plus one" giving structure, along with an eight hour pool of paid community service hours per employee. The three "core" organizations that we support every year are For Love of Children (FLOC), The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (Komen Race for the Cure®), and The National Capital Area Alzheimer's Association (Memory Walk and Tour de Canal). The "plus one" organization is one that rotates on an annual basis and is in response to the specific needs of our staff, family, and friends.

"We've created a culture that includes organized events, to provide structure for those who want to get involved and help the various non-profit organizations in our communities. We think it is a very successful recipe," concluded Woods.
