Capitol Children's Foundation
Capitol Children's Foundation, Inc. (CCF) was founded in 2003 by Dan Plante and Karl Celtnieks when they were touched by the emotional struggle of a 10 year old girl named Allie Miller who was battling a rare form of pediatric cancer. With an idea of wanting to help children, Dan and Karl reached out to several local business leaders and formed CCF. The first year, the CCF focus was to raise money to help find a cure for Allie's disease. However, Allie eventually lost her battle with cancer on May 13, 2004. CCF has since expanded its base of local children's medical-related organizations that benefit from CCF fundraising activities. Currently, 100% of all dollars raised goes towards children in need.
Since 2006, TerpSys has been a sponsor of the annual Capitol Children's Foundation's Golf Tournament. In addition, TerpSys donated web design services to create the Capitol Children's Foundation website.
